Boy Nobody

Info from the publisher

Allen Zadoff, Boy Nobody

Orchard Books. ISBN: 9781408327609

The explosive new thriller for fans of Jason Bourne, Robert Muchamore and Michael Grant.

Boy Nobody is the perennial new kid in school, the one few notice and nobody thinks much about. He shows up in a new high school, in a new town, under a new name, makes few friends and doesn't stay long. Just long enough for someone in his new friend's family to die — of "natural causes". Mission accomplished, Boy Nobody disappears, and moves on to the next target.

When Boy Nobody was just eleven, he discovered his own parents had died of not-so-natural causes. He soon found himself under the control of The Program, a shadowy government organization that uses brainwashed kids as counter-espionage operatives. But somewhere, deep inside Boy Nobody, is somebody: the boy he once was, the boy who wants normal things (like a real home, his parents back), a boy who wants out. And he just might want those things badly enough to sabotage The Program's next mission.

I really enjoyed this book it was really good.
It had a lot of twists and bits when I thought something else was going to happen. It changed quickly and the novel was very fast paced.
This is a really good book . I would recommend this book. I really could not set it down.

This book was good and I enjoyed it - with it's twists and turns, though it was long in parts. When I first started it I didn't know that it was for older pupils and it surprised me.

For a thriller it was good.

Very good book. Best I've read in a LONNNNGGG time. Extremely mysterious characters and plot that even at the end hasn't answered all the questions

it had a good story but way and i mean WAY too many levels of rudeness

Níor raibh dúil ar bith agam sa leabhair seo. Níor thuig mé an scéal agus shíl mé go ndeachaigh sé go mall. D'amharc sé iontach maith ach ní raibh mé abaltá an deireadh a bhaint amach. 1/10 domsa. I didn't enjoy this book at all. I didn't understand the story and i thought it went to slow. It looked very promising but I could not reach the end. 1/10 for me!!

Dubhaltach, Coláiste Feirste  1 out of 10

it was a good action packed book that i enjoyed reading and would probably read it again. it would have got a 10 if it had a better ending rather than the quite predictable ending it has but it was a very good book and i would reccomed it

jessica, Carrickfergus Grammar School  9 out of 10

Very good book. I loved this book because it had a bit of everything. A bit of romance and action. I was unimpressed with the end because it was predictable but still an amazing book.

Aaron, Royal Belfast Academical Inst  8 out of 10

It is a very good book and it is quite well written. I would recommend it to people who like Robert Muchamore as it is the opposite of Cherub as he uses his skills to kill people.

Eoghan, Aquinas Grammar School  9 out of 10

A great book though the ending was predictable.

Jannik, Other School  8 out of 10

This book was very exciting it kept me on the edge of my seat. It had really good twists that were really unexpected. I enjoyed reading this book and I just could not put it down. The reason I only gave it 8 marks and not 10 is because I found the end very disappointing after a brilliant plot and character changes the end was very abrupt and boring.

Matthew, Royal Belfast Academical Inst  8 out of 10

The storyline is phenomenal and the vivid descriptions used by the author helped me visualise the scenes. The level of suspense is extremely high at certain parts of the story, and the mysteries continue even as the secrets start to unravel.

Niamh, Aquinas Grammar School  10 out of 10

I think Boy Nobody is one of the best books I have ever read and I would recommend it to boys over 13.

Matthew, Other School  10 out of 10

This book is a real page turner. There is alot of action and thrillers. It was very detailed. I found it very interesting.

Charlotte, Sullivan Upper School  9 out of 10

This was the best book I have ever read in my whole life. It filled me with suspense and i couldnt put it down. I walked into a wall because i refused to stop reading. I really liked this book because it was packed with action and also had a bit of romance and hot girls thrown in. I would recomend this book to all the lads who have read 'CHERUB' or 'Alex Rider.'

Christian, Sullivan Upper School  10 out of 10

I loved the amount of action in this book. It was quite interesting how the author merged the main character's backstory into the real present day and the action.I would definitely reccomend this book to any fan of action or James Patterson novels.

Carra, Other School  9 out of 10

Boy Nobody was kind of the same as Russian Roulette . It was about a hired assassin called Zach who was sent on mission to kill people. I would give this 4 stars

Ewan, Royal Belfast Academical Inst  8 out of 10

A great book for all Alex Rider or young bond fans. I was hooked as soon as I started reading and found there was only one bit which wasnt very good; the ending was almost the same as the start, and if the writer were to write another book,I think it would just be a repeat of this one.

Simon, Down High School  7 out of 10

I thought this was a very interesting book but it was very serious. I liked the fact it was quite repetitive. I would like to read some of Allen Zadoff's other books as I thought this was a very enjoyable book.

Shea, St Patrick's High School, Keady  10 out of 10

I thought this was a decent book but it was the same over and over but I liked the ending

3 years ago Boy Nobody arrived home to find his parents gone, presumedly dead. Now he is a deadly teenage assassin who kills for the '' The program'' . He gains your trust then all of a sudden a close relative dies and you never see him again.
Boy Nobody has a new assignment , The mayor. after gaining true feelings for the mayors daughter he finds it difficult to continue with his mission. He also finds out his real father may still be alive.

This book comes close to the best book I ever read, with a plethora of imagery , several forms of creative writing and a formidable amount of suspense this book easily gets a 10 from me, would highly recommend

Emmet, Coláiste Feirste  10 out of 10

I thought it was a great book to read. I hope to read more of his books in the near future!

connor, Royal Belfast Academical Inst  7 out of 10

I read the first 5 chapters and couldn't go on, it was like doing a long maths homework and it was too much like the alex rider series ( which I adore, Russian Rulet was amazing)

Abby, Hunter House  1 out of 10

A really good book and I choose to read it because I like the Hunger Games series and I'm very glad I did. It was a bit confusing when it jumped from present to past but overall I found it very entertaining particularly because of the language used. It starts very tentatively, I connected with the book immediatly. I would recommend it for those who like action books. I would award it 9 out of 10 .

Beth, Assumption Grammar School  9 out of 10

I didn't like this book at all. It was just the same over and over again. It was an ok ending but there was a quote that got my attention "If you don't know what you want, how do you know who you are?" But the ending was decent enough but I would recommend this to anyone.

Bethan, Sacred Heart College, Omagh  1 out of 10

An interesting book and a book that wants you to read more very funny and exciting book.

I thought this book was very interesting and it was really funny because of the language being used. I really enjoyed it.

John, Holy Trinity College, Cookstown  9 out of 10

I found this book hard to follow at times, especially the way it jumped between present day and the past. Overall it was a good book and i really enjoyed reading it.

Nathan, St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena  8 out of 10

''Boy Nobody'' starts very tentively, i connected with the book immediatly . It is although, the type of book i would useually read. ''Allen Zadoff'' the author writes in first person about a boy who is an assasin but also goes back into his past where he meets a friend and takes him away from his parents where he learns to assasinate. I would reccomend this book for people who are fans of the young bond series and the Alex Rider series. 9 3-4 out of ten

Dylan, Strabane Academy  9 out of 10

A terrible book but a decent ending

Paddy, Bangor Grammar School  3 out of 10

Great book which was full of action and it doesn't get boring. I was really shocked at the end.

Sephen, Holy Trinity College, Cookstown  10 out of 10

This book was a very good book because I like a bit of action and assassination books. So I really liked this book because of the way he killed some people like when he poisoned the drink of his friends dad who had been working with the Chinese mafia. All in all I'd say this book was a brilliant mix of action and assassination.

Thomas, Royal Belfast Academical Inst  9 out of 10

I haven't read a book as good as this since Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. This was absolutely incredible, and had me hooked to the very end. I don't want to go into the plot for fear of ruining the storyline, just read it!

An exciting action read about a teen assassin.

It was a very good book . I also think the story line was very good. The only thing I didn't like, was that there was some very inappropiate language. Besides that, it was an excellent book

Matthew Maybin, Sacred Heart College, Omagh  9 out of 10

Boy Nobody... as it turns out a relatively standard thriller.
However, as standard thrillers go, it's pretty high up there

Ciaran, Sullivan Upper School  10 out of 10

I thought that this book was absolutely brilliant. The plot was fantastic and the characters were perfect for the storyline. I would definitely recommend this for lovers of The Hunger Games!!!!!!!!
